1. Terms and conditions for use of the website

When you do transactions through the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival (the “Festival”, “we”, or “our”) website (the “Site”), you agree to comply with the terms and conditions of use and the laws and regulations in effect in Quebec. If you fail to comply, your account will be terminated. The Festival reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

Any service of notice, notification or initiation of legal action must take place in the judicial district of Gatineau, province of Quebec.

You are authorized to access the Site and to purchase products only for personal use. Illegal resale will result in the seizure and cancellation of the product and possible legal action.

Any illegal or unauthorized use of the Site for the purpose of selling products, copying the Site, or involving the use of a robot, a search engine or another automated device may lead to an investigation and, possibly, legal action against you.

The Festival does not guarantee that its Site is free of errors, or that it is safe from interruption, cyberattack, service failure or temporary outage coming either from the Site or a third party, nor that it will provide all of the results you hope for through your search or the use of its contents or links. The Site and its contents are provided as is. The Festival is not liable for any type of direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of its Site. The Festival does not guarantee any outcome from the use of its online shopping system.

The ticket holder acknowledges and accepts the risks involved in participating in the various activities offered by the FMG. Ticket holders assume full responsibility for any risks arising from the activities and waive all claims for physical or material loss or damage resulting from any cause whatsoever suffered by the ticket holder before, during or after the event. Any person who fails to comply with all rules and regulations will be required to leave the event without refund and may be held liable for any loss or damage to property or personal injury. In addition, he/she may be held responsible for any loss or damage resulting from this.

All prices indicated on the Site are in Canadian dollars. All prices are before taxes.

The Festival accepts Visa or Mastercard credit or debit (Interac) payments.

You must fill out all of the fields in the identification form. You must clearly indicate your name as it appears on your credit card.

For each product, the maximum quantity is fixed at 10 per transaction.

It will be possible to purchase different products in a single transaction.

Each individual must be in possession of a ticket, regardless of age, with the exception of babies under 2 years old.

All children aged 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Children between the ages of 2 and 10 must have their own ticket to enter the Festival site. The ticket is free for general admission. Some areas, such as the VIP Lounges, the VIP Terrace and the Front stage are subject to the same admission fee as a person aged 11 and over.

Free admission will be provided to an accompanying person of a disabled person holding a Companion Leisure Card (CAL) (carteloisir.ca/en). Limited quantities may apply for some products. Please send us a photo of your card to fmg@montgolfieresgatineau.com with your phone number. We will call you to confirm the validity of your card and to purchase your ticket and get a second one for free.

Each product purchased will give access to the day or days mentioned on the e-ticket. It is your responsibility to check the timetables which may be different each day as well as the exclusions of the different products.

Orders will only be processed after addresses and other billing information have been verified. In the event that any information is incorrect, in order to avoid any delays in shipping your items, a client service representative will contact you. If we are unable to reach you after three attempts, we reserve the right to cancel your order.

After completing your purchase, you will be able to see your invoice on your screen, and you will receive a copy of it by email. If you do not receive it (on the screen or by email) after having submitted your payment information, if you receive an error message, or if there is a service interruption during the transaction, you must contact client services at fmg@montgolfieresgatineau.com to check whether your order went through. The Festival is not liable if you believe that your order was not processed because you did not receive a confirmation.

Tickets purchased are only available in electronic format.

You have the choice of printing your ticket or presenting it directly on your smartphone.

After your purchase, if you cannot find your e-tickets in your inbox, please check your spam folder.

The reproduction and modification of the different products sold by the Festival are strictly forbidden. Any person having made any modification or reproduction of the various products of the FMG will be refused access to the Festival for the duration of the event. In this situation, the FMG reserves the right to seize and cancel the product, the related order as well as any other purchase/reservation made by the person charged with the offence or the buyer of the product concerned. Possible legal action may be taken.

For security purposes, anyone wishing to participate in the FMG is encouraged to do so by purchasing tickets through our website. The FMG accepts no responsibility for illegal ticket purchases made on unofficial (or non-affiliated) resale platforms. If you purchase your tickets outside of the FMG Site, you may be purchasing a fraudulent or cancelled product and may be subject to the same penalties as set out in the paragraph above.

When you purchase a product through the Festival’s online shopping system, you authorize the Festival to collect data on your Visa or Mastercard credit or debit (Interac) card. The Site securely transmits the information to Paysafe, which determines the validity of the transaction before accepting or refusing it (insufficient funds, card reported stolen, etc.). Once that step is completed, you will receive an invoice by email, with a transaction number or a transaction refusal, depending on whether the transaction has been approved. That step can happen instantly or may take time, depending on the volume of traffic or the ability of Paysafe to respond. If you do not receive a payment confirmation number or a refusal notice (in the form of an invoice) after submitting your payment information, if you receive an error message or if there is a service interruption during the transaction, it is up to you to contact client services at 819 243-2330 or at 1 800 668-8383 to check whether your order has been processed. The Festival cannot be held liable if you presume that your order has not been processed in the event that you do not receive a confirmation.

2. exchange and refund policies

All sales are final. You should carefully check the choice of your products and the dates before making your purchase, since no returns, transfers or refunds will be allowed.

All the programming elements planned for the Festival, including hot air balloon flights and shows, are subject to change, delay or cancellation, without notice. No refund will be granted.

If the event is cancelled in its entirety for any reason, the Festival may offer you an exchange or a refund. You are solely responsible for checking whether the event is canceled or postponed through the Site. If the event is canceled in its entirety or postponed, the Festival will inform you through the Site of the guidelines and procedures for the exchange or refund.

The FMG may change its exchange and refund policies at any time at its sole and exclusive discretion.

The reservation of a space on the RV Park is linked to the purchase of 5-day passes. Any addition of products will be done at the rate in force at the time of purchase.

If you have reserved a site at the RV Park, you must go to the reception desk at 1089 Jacques-Cartier Street in Gatineau with your ID and your invoice (mobile or printed).

An agent will check your documents and an usher will assign you a site on a first come, first served basis.

If you bought a hot air balloon ride, a member of our team, or the pilot will contact you the day before for a flight the next morning or in the afternoon for an evening flight, following the analysis of the flight conditions, in order to inform you of the time and place of the meeting.

During the 5 days of the Festival: If you have booked a balloon ride during the Festival, you are responsible for arriving at the Aerostation at the time requested at the time of purchase. In case of late arrival, your balloon ride may be rescheduled for a future flight depending on the availability of seats. No refund will be given in case of late arrival.
