Henri Godon
For over 30 years now, Henri Godon has been involved in the school network, drawing inspiration from children’s imaginations to compose songs. In 2011, he released his first album, Chansons pour toutes sortes d’enfants. It was the start of a great adventure with young audiences.
Henri Godon has a unique gift for reaching out to young and old alike, through the quality of his musical arrangements and the originality of his lyrics. Parents are all the more delighted! In 2015, the second album “La vie rêvée!” is released, and once again triggers a party for the whole family. The party continues with the album “Tous musiciens” (2020). Over the years, he has garnered numerous nominations (ADISQ, Juno Award, Canadian Folk Music Award), as well as twice receiving the Coup de Cœur from France’s Académie Charles Cros.
On stage, surrounded by his mythical Bedon Band and his faithful multi-instrumentalist comparses, Henri Godon offers intelligent, festive songs for the youngest music lovers. This synergy will enable them to tour throughout Quebec and France.
In 2024, Henri Godon presents a brand new album, “Chants de vacances”, produced by Davy Gallant. Drawing on anecdotes from family travels, he creates a playful, interactive universe. From the moment you pack your suitcase, on the road, at the hotel or by the fireside, children are invited to be part of this joyful journey. In addition to the musical accompaniment, the stories are told in a children’s book (Éditions Planète Rebelle) and illustrated by his long-time illustrator sidekick, Fabio Pellegrino.
