Mélissa Ouimet

For over 15 years, Franco-Ontarian singer-songwriter Mélissa Ouimet has been setting the stages of Quebec and the French-speaking world alight. In 2016, she released her self-titled debut album on Musicor. She then embarked on self-production with a first EP, “Amours jetables”, in 2018. This decision paid off, as her single “Amours jetables” won the “chanson primée” award at the Trille Or. In 2019, Mélissa took part in La Voix, reaching the quarterfinals.

Proud representative of French-speaking communities outside Quebec, she is committed to uniting many voices in the Franco-Ontarian struggle against anti-Francophone measures, with a new version of her song “Personne ne pourra m’arrêter”, now considered the anthem of Franco-Ontarian resistance.

In the spring of 2022, the artist released the “Sans tomber” EP. The release is accompanied by a short film broadcast on TFO. The title track is selected by TVA for the self-promotion of its popular “Chicago Fire” series. In 2023, in addition to her 6 nominations at the Gala Trille Or, the singer-songwriter launches the song “Quand revient Noël”. The song finished its ascent to #2 on the Top 100 and #2 on the Top 25 Pop Adulte. Mélissa is currently working on an album that should be released by the end of 2025.
