Sara Dufour
A real firecracker! That’s the perfect way to describe Sara Dufour. The brilliant singer-songwriter from Dolbeau-Mistassini already has an EP and three albums to her credit. Since the release of her debut album, “Dépanneur Pierrette,” in 2016, she has toured Quebec and France and racked up accolades (ADISQ, SOCAN, the SPACQ’s André ‘Dédé’ Fortin Award). She has performed over 400 shows before an enthusiastic and growing audience, including a performance on the Plains of Abraham during a historic evening with Les Cowboys Fringants at the 2023 Festival d’été de Québec.
In May 2023, Sara Dufour won the SOCAN “Country Music” award. She then set off on a tour of China, sharing her latest album, “On va-tu prendre une marche?”, with a new audience. This album won a Félix Award in the “Album of the Year – Folk” category and earned her a nomination for “Female Artist of the Year” at the 2024 ADISQ Awards.
On stage, you meet someone authentic who makes you want to escape for a little while, or at least, to breathe in a sense of freedom for a moment. With her guitar in hand, she continues to blaze her trail with her folk’n’roll. She tells stories and draws you into her adventures, sprinkled with humor and spontaneity, deeply rooted in her heritage.
