Participation is open only to individuals aged 18 or older who are physically located in the province of Quebec at the time of ticket purchase.  

The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the fifty-fifty raffle draw and the secondary prizes draws: advertising agencies or any person directly related to the Contest or the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival (“FMG”), such as employees, members of the FMG Board of Directors, volunteers involved in the draws, agents or representatives, or any member of the immediate family of the people listed above.   

Purchase a raffle ticket through the Rafflebox.com online sales platform shared on the FMG website or in person, directly on the Festival site, through an assigned volunteer.  

All the individual ticket numbers corresponding to the purchase are automatically entered into the electronic draw of the winning number by a random number generator.  

Each participant must provide their contact information to purchase tickets and be eligible for the draw.  

The number of tickets is undetermined. 

Tickets will be sold in packages of three (3) tickets for $5; ten (10) tickets for $10; forty (40) tickets for $20; or one hundred and fifty (150) tickets for $50.  

Tickets purchased before 11:59 pm on May 21st, 2026, are eligible for the small prizes draw.  

Tickets purchased before 11:59 pm on July 14th, 2026, are eligible for the medium prizes draw.  

Tickets purchased before 11:59 pm on August 20th, 2026, are eligible for the big prizes draw.  

Tickets purchased before 10:29 pm on September 6th, 2026, are eligible for the fifty-fifty draw. 

The random selection of the winning ticket for the fifty-fifty draw will take place via a random draw on the Rafflebox platform, which will take place on September 6th, 2026 at 10:30 pm.  

The random selection of secondary prizes will take place on the Rafflebox platform. The secondary prizes will be divided into 3 categories: small prizes, medium prizes, and big prizes. 

For the small prizes (discovery), the draw will take place on May 21st at noon through five (5) consecutive random draws in the following order: 

• The 1st ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the first prize, namely one (1) $150 gift card from Simons; 

• The 2nd ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the second prize, namely one (1) gift certificate for a Flex booklet including ten (10) tickets for the Olympiques de Gatineau 2026–2027 regular season. Value of $275, taxes included; 

• The 3rd ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the third prize, namely two (2) packages, each including one (1) access to the Spa Village (including bathrobe and towels), as well as one (1) treatment of choice (excluding the Lumea facial) at Nordik Spa Village. Value of $462 + taxes; 

• The 4th ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the fourth prize, namely three (3) one-month memberships at Espace Hygie. Value of $375 + taxes; 

• The 5th ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the fifth prize, namely one (1) Ottawa Senators jersey signed by Thomas Chabot. Value of $500. 

• The winning tickets will be withdrawn from each subsequent draw. 

For the medium prizes (featured), the draw will take place on July 14 at noon through six (6) consecutive random draws: 

• The 1st ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the first prize, namely one (1) signature getaway at Hôtel V including two (2) nights in an urban king room, one (1) $130 gift certificate for Resto Bistro Rumeur, two (2) $50 gift cards for Tutti Frutti breakfast, as well as one (1) Hôtel V signature gift. Value of $850; 

• The 2nd ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the second prize, namely one (1) night at the Hilton Lac-Leamy hotel in Gatineau and thirteen (13) $25 gift certificates redeemable at Loto-Québec bars, restaurants, shows, and accommodations. Value of $725; 

• The 3rd ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the third prize, namely one (1) hot air balloon ride for 2 people during the FMG 2026, including two (2) 5-day passes for the FMG. Value of $975 + taxes. If the flight cannot take place in 2026, this prize will be honoured during the 2027 edition of the FMG; 

• The 4th ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the fourth prize, namely one (1) $1,000 gift card from Tanguay; 

• The 5th ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the fifth prize, namely five (5) nights (arrival on September 2, 2026, and departure on September 7, 2026) at FMG Campground in a recreational vehicle that can accommodate up to five (5) people, courtesy of Centre du VR de Gatineau. This prize includes two (2) 5-day passes for the 2026 edition of the FMG. Value of $2,248 + taxes. The FMG will provide electricity, water, and one sewage disposal service for the duration of the event. The winner agrees to comply with the Campground policy in effect. Insurance is included, subject to a $5,000 deductible. Pets and smoking are prohibited in the recreational vehicle; 

• The 6th ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the sixth prize, namely one (1) outdoor dining set, courtesy of Home Depot, including one (1) 3.35-metre offset aluminum patio umbrella with solar light bars, blue, by Hampton Bay, one (1) seven (7)-piece wicker patio dining set with brown cushions by Hampton Bay, and one (1) 91.4 cm gas patio fire pit by Hampton Bay. Value of $2,245 + taxes. 

• The winning tickets will be withdrawn from each subsequent draw. 

For the big prizes (featured), the draw will take place on August 20 at noon through two (2) consecutive random draws: 

• The 1st ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the first prize, namely one (1) $3,000 travel credit, courtesy of Voyages à Rabais: applicable only to travel products sold by Voyages à Rabais; not applicable to flights and/or hotels sold separately; the winner must have booked and completed their trip no later than September 30, 2027; the credit must be used in full before departure; the credit must be applied to a single booking; the credit must be applied to a new booking; the winner must be part of the booking; applicable only to a regular-price booking and cannot be combined with any other promotion; a maximum of two travel credits may be applied per booking; 

• The 2nd ticket drawn will entitle the winner to the second prize, namely one (1) Monsoon spa, 2025 model, graphite colour, featuring six (6) seats, including the captain’s seat, and one (1) ergonomic lounger allowing two reclining positions and a resting seat (a cover lifter and spa steps are included), courtesy of Club Piscine. Value of $5,900 + taxes. 

• The winning tickets will be withdrawn from each subsequent draw. 

The date and time of the draw for the winning ticket for each draw will be announced on the website of the online sales platform (Rafflebox.com) and will be printed on the participant’s ticket.

Winners of the small prizes, medium prizes, and big prizes are responsible for claiming their prize in one of the following two ways:

The winners of the small prizes, medium prizes, and big prizes have fourteen (14) business days from the announcement date to claim their prize. 

The winner of the 50/50 draw will be contacted by the FMG by phone or email within 24 hours of the draw, using the contact information provided at the time of purchase. The person holding the winning ticket must claim their prize by providing the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival with proof of purchase (received by email for online purchases or by presenting their printed ticket for purchases made on the Festival site) and their photo ID. The holder of the winning ticket will have fourteen (14) business days from the announcement to claim the prize. 

In the event that the selected ticket holder has not claimed the fifty-fifty prize within the fourteen (14) business day period, the prize money will be invested by the FMG to allow up-and-coming artists to perform on the FMG stages.  

In the event that the selected ticket holder has not claimed one of the secondary prizes: small prizes (discovery), medium prizes (featured), or big prizes (featured), within fourteen (14) business days, the prize will be deemed unclaimed. No additional draw will be conducted. 

The winner must complete a declaration and release form before taking possession of the prize.  

The amount of the prize to be won (winner’s prize) represents 50% of the total amount collected and advertised (grand prize). In the event that the amount announced (posted) and the total amount collected are not identical, the latter shall prevail.  

Fifty-fifty cash draw prizes will be awarded via bank transfer, in Canadian dollars, once the winner’s banking information has been obtained, within 60 business days following the draw. In certain cases, half-and-half draw prizes may be paid by cheque.  

Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded, without substitution.  

Each person will receive their prize by e-mail no later than one (1) week before the date on which the prize grants access to the Festival site. In the event that the FMG is unable to send the prize to the winner by e-mail, the winner will be notified as soon as possible that he or she must pick up the prize at the FMG office or on the Festival site.  

Only the holder of the winning ticket may claim the prize.  

The Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival assumes no responsibility for any other person who claims an interest or right to receive the prize or any part of the prize associated with the winning ticket.  

Odds of winning depend on the total number of tickets sold.  

Tickets are subject to verification by the draw organizers. Any fraudulent ticket will be automatically rejected and will not entitle the winner to a prize. The draw ticket will be void if there is proof that the ticket has been stolen, unissued, ineligible, altered, counterfeited, defective, printed in duplicate or printed/produced in error. Unauthorised persons who copy, sell or alter tickets are liable to prosecution.    

No official tax receipt will be issued for the purchase of raffle tickets, as stipulated by the Canada Revenue Agency.  

All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued to anyone for any reason. All tickets purchased including the draw numbers on those respective tickets that are part of the draw are non-refundable, even if a ticket purchaser made an error in selecting the number of tickets they wish to purchase.  

The winner is responsible for transporting the prize from the place where it is made available to their home. 

If the integrity of a draw is compromised in any way, the FMG will notify the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec (RACJ) and consult with the RACJ on the best way to proceed. The FMG must receive approval from the RACJ before cancelling the draw and/or modifying the draw rules.  

This draw program is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. Any decision made by the organizers is final and without appeal.  

By participating in a draw, winners authorize the organizers and their representatives to print, publish or use their name, image, photo, voice, likeness and biographical information for any purposes related to the FMG and its activities, including but not limited to advertising and promotional purposes, without financial compensation.
